Song of the Joyful Cuckoo: Verses on the Tenets

 

On 20 March, 2022, Do Tulku Rinpoche, taught on Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo’s Song of the Joyful Cuckoo: Verses on the Tenets from his Collected Works (Kabum). 

In this short poem, Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo skillfully introduces the distinct tenets of the four philosophical traditions, culminating with pith instructions on the tantric path. These inspiring verses guide readers, stanza by stanza, through the systems of increasing subtlety of Buddhist view and practice.

About Do Tulku Rinpoche

Do Tulku Rinpoche, the Sixth Raktrul Rinpoche, is the resident lama and spiritual guide of Arya Tara’s Net, an online community and center for Buddhist study and practice in Germany. An accomplished scholar and graduate of Dzongsar Khyentse Chokyi Lodro Institute, Rinpoche is a Himalayan scholar and consultant for the Khyentse Vision Project translation team.
