Text of the Month: The Concise Daily Practice of Noble Vasudhārā with Consort

As part of our Text of the Month initiative in August, we hosted a special event on The Concise Daily Practice of Noble Vasudhārā with Consort—a treasure revealed by Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo. This sādhana invoked the blessings of the noble goddess whose activity increased wisdom, prosperity, and auspiciousness. Vasudhārā, whose name means “stream of riches,” was visualized as a golden goddess in union with her consort, Jambhala.iches,” was visualized as a golden goddess in union with her consort, Jambhala.
In this session, Dr. Amelia Hall explored the enlightened activity of increasing and enrichment, and why that is important for practitioners and looked into Khyentse Wangpo’s role as an enlightened tertön who was unafraid to go beyond the societal conventions of his time.
Amelia is an editor at KVP and an associate professor of Buddhism at Naropa University. She specializes in Tibetan ritual texts and Himalayan ecology and has published widely on the topics of Buddhist history and the treasure traditions. She is currently completing a book on the Four Noble Truths.
