Dr. Inga Pogosyan

Dr. Inga Pogosyan was born in Tbilisi, Georgia, and later moved to Moscow, where she completed her secondary education and studied economics at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics (2006–2010). In 2011, inspired by a deep interest in Tibetan culture and healing traditions, she relocated to Dharamsala, India. There she studied Tibetan language and enrolled in the Faculty of Tibetan Medicine at the Men-Tsee-Khang (Tibetan Medical and Astro. Institute), completing her medical training and clinical internship in 2019. She has practiced as a Tibetan doctor (amchi) since then.

From 2020 to 2023, she worked as a remote translator for the Finnish organization Vidya OY, translating Buddhist texts, and has translated numerous lectures on Tibetan medicine, Indian Buddhist art, and philosophy from Tibetan and English into Russian. She also volunteered as an anchor for the Russian-language edition of Tibetan Weekly News on Tibet TV (2020–2021) and has served since 2022 as an assistant and translator for representatives of the Buddhist Traditional Sangha of Russia.

As part of the Russian Buddhist delegation, Dr. Pogosyan has participated in international conferences and forums in Bhutan, India, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, and Russia. She currently lives in Dahab, South Sinai, Egypt, where she continues her work as a Tibetan doctor.
