Tara’s Triple Excellence: Special Collaborative Event with Heidi Köppl

In a special collaboration with Tara’s Triple Excellence, the program’s founder Heidi Köppl will lead us through Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo’s A Summary of the Essential Instructions on the Three Excellences.
The text traces back to a vision in which Noble Tārā appeared to Chokgyur Lingpa and said “Excellent!” three times, and the Profound Essence of Tārā (Zabtik Drölma) spontaneously arose in his realized mind. Khyentse Wangpo, the custodian of the treasure, distilled its instructions into this concise outline.
In the session, Heidi will explore how this text maps the whole path to awakening in three excellences: the foundation of personal liberation, the Mahāyāna way of compassion and wisdom, and the profound methods of the Vajrayāna.
Heidi Köppl has practiced Tibetan Buddhism for more than thirty years and recently completed a three-year solitary retreat. For many years she served as a translator for leading Buddhist teachers, including for her root guru, Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche.
