An Offering Prayer to the Terma Protectors: Māras, Tsen, and Nāgas
Today’s quote comes from KVP’s newest published text, “An Offering Prayer to the Terma Protectors.” This concise ritual is for making offerings to the Dharma protectors who guard the sacred Mantrayāna teachings and their practitioners. The three types of protectors propitiated are the guardians of the treasure teachings discovered by Terdak Lingpa.
Terdak Lingpa (1646–1714) was the founder of the Mindröling lineage and a prominent visionary and treasure revealer. Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo received the transmission of his entire treasure cycle at the age of twenty-one at Mindröling Monastery in Tibet, and composed a short sādhana for his treasure revelation, the Rigdzin Tugtik.
