Douglas Mills has been a student of Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche since 1991, and has been translating Tibetan and Sanskrit Dharma texts into English since 1993. He has also studied under other teachers such as His Holiness Dalai Lama, His Holiness Kyabgon Gongma Trichen Rinpoche, Jigme Khyentse Rinpoche, Beru Khyentse Rinpoche, Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche and Gyalse Tulku Rinpoche.
Douglas completed a three year retreat in Australia under Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche’s guidance, and has been an instructor for Siddhartha’s Intent for Dharma Gar and Ngöndro Gar for the last ten years. He is a prolific translator and has a special interest in translating the works of Lhatsün Namkha Jigme and Tangtong Gyalpo, both of whom are intimately connected with the Khyentse lineage.
In his spare time, he composes and plays music on a multitude of instruments, and lives as a hermit in the northern rivers area of Australia.
