Dr. Elizabeth McDougal

Contributing Translator
Elizabeth (Tenzin Chozom) grew up in Western Canada where she first came across the Dharma in a school gym in the Rocky Mountains. She later trained as a nun in India and Nangchen in Drukpa Kagyu and Nyingma communities from 2000-2017. She studied a Masters in Indian philosophy at Banaras Hindu University, and then a PhD at the University of Sydney on the modernization of Tibetan practice lineages. Elizabeth now lives in Australia with her rabbit, cat and human sangha, teaching and translating. She has a special interest in translating for the Gebchak tradition, which was founded particularly for female practitioners, and other works from the Rimé tradition of Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo.
