Nikko Odiseos

In the midst of earning a degree in Environmental Studies and Politics at the University of California, Santa Cruz, Nikko started practicing and studying Buddhism in 1990, first as a student and then for two years as a staff member on Antioch’s Buddhist Studies program in Bodhgaya. After a circuitous career path that included winemaking and positions in several enterprise software companies focused on digital publishing strategies and information access technologies, lastly at Microsoft, he joined Shambhala Publications as president in 2010. During his tenure he has overseen the acquisition of several other publishing houses, including Snow Lion Publications. He is also on the board of the Vajrayana Foundation.

He lives with his wife and daughter in Niwot, Colorado.
